Demyx chuckled, grinning. “Yeah, it can,” he teased, hesitating for a moment before offering her his hand. “It’ll be better if it looks like we’re together,” he told her, rubbing the back of his head slightly, hoping she didn’t find him weird. “I mean, I know we’re not but… people in town, they don’t really seem the type to understand a girl wandering around by herself,” he mumbled, slightly embarassed, looking down a blush flaring over his cheeks.

Serah took the male’s hand as well as his offer, and gave him a softly smile. “Thank you.” She said glancing ahead of the town. “I’ll repay you somehow for all this trouble!” She told the blonde with a wink. When Serah told something like that she meant it. She wasn’t sure if she had anything of value in this world, but she’d do what she could to help the male out. She let go of his hand slowly, and gave the area one last glance. Were women viewed that differently around here? That was something that different than back home, women could pull just as much weight as men, that was something her older sister taught.

I wanna apologize to everyone for my lack of replies. I haven’t been feeling up to it as of late, I can’t keep my energy up. I’ll be getting to everything tomorrow or the day after. I’m so so sorry.

Sister’s bond. ‖ Lightning

Things were finally getting back to normal in the girl’s life. There was only one thing missing it seemed, and that was her sister. The whole reason Serah had left was to track down Lightning, to prove that she wasn’t dreaming. Lightning had been there and she knew it, now everyone else did as well. Snow was back as well, the two had caught up and things were falling into place. He went back to helping NORA, and she continued teaching. It was best to keep her mind busy, and the blonde helped with that. Whenever thoughts of her sister showed up, she’d push them as far away as she could. There was one question that continued to float in her mind no matter what she thought of.

Why?

Why wasn’t Lightning back? What had she done wrong? Noel and her had done everything they could, yet the older Farron still wasn’t in sight. Lightning wouldn’t want this. That’s what she had to tell herself, she had to pick her head up and go on with the day. That’s all the girl could do, and wait until she saw her sister’s face once again. They’d all be a happy family one day, she was sure of it. She glanced up at the now setting sun, watching it’s colors reflect off the ocean, it painted everything with burnt oranges and pink. The village had grown quiet, everyone turning in for the day. She couldn’t return to the house and catch some sleep, at least now yet. Snow wouldn’t be in till late, and there was no way she was locking herself away inside yet. Instead she’d remain on the beach for just a while longer.

She dusted off the sand that clung to her legs, and shifted so that the ocean tide rolled in against her bare feet. It was peaceful with only the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. Lightning would love it here, she was sure of it. She brushed a few stray strands of pink hair behind her ear, before resting her chin on her arm. She didn’t mean to let losing her sister down, but for a while Lightning was all she had. She gave a soft sigh, and let her blue eyes close slowly, trying not to drift off.

Footsteps.
That’s what brought the girl back into reality a few minutes later, she figured it was Yuj or even Snow coming to check on the girl. She slowly glanced over to see the figure, her eyes or mind not wanting to believe what was in front of her. She was asleep, she had to be asleep. Even if she was asleep, her sister was there. She stumbled up quickly running towards the Farron as fast as she could.
“L-Lightning!”

“So it’s uniform?” Whoever picked it out had no sense of anything. She suddenly realized her rudeness, and offered her hand out to the blonde. “I’m Serah, by the way!” She said with a grin. The dresses did sound odd, though she was sure they were pretty anyways. She glanced down at her own dress, feeling as if she stuck out miserably. She bit down on her lip before giving him a small shrug. “Maybe it’ll..catch on?”

Demyx blinked when she offered her hand and her name. “Heh, I’m Demyx,” he grinned, taking the hand and shaking it slightly. Glancing up and down at her outfit he chuckled. “Yeah, maybe. Nobody’s said anything about this thing,” he noted waving down at his cloak making a face. “Oh, and yeah, it’s a uniform,” he added suddenly remembering her first question. “My boss is… unique,” he muttered, rubbing at the back of his head again. “Hey are you hungry?”

Serah brought her hand back down by her side, and gave him a nod. Demyx? It was such a unique name, but she had to admit it fit the male. “Oh uhm, thanks for helping me out!” She said in an up-beat down. With the male’s help, she’d find her way out of here. Her stomach seemed to answer the male’s question for her as it let out a small growl. She blushed and gave him a quick nod. “I guess space jumping can really be a work out!” She added. She wondered what the food would be like around this place, and if it would resemble anything back home.

Never letting go. ‖ Snow

Home. Serah had missed the sands of New Bodhum and the faces of all her friends, there were plenty of warm greetings for the first night of her return. There was a face she wanted to see the most a voice she longed to hear again, but he was nowhere in sight. She hadn’t seen or heard anything from the blonde haired male since the run-in at Sunleth. There was nothing to do now but wait, and she had more time on her hands than anything else. It wasn’t hard to fall back into the old routine, she picked up teaching once again and helped Lebreau when she could. Life was starting to piece it’s self back together, and Serah knew it would take time for everything to be completely okay again. She slowly stood up and dusted the sand off herself and then stretched her arms out. Today felt as if it was dragging on forever, she had just finished lessons and now was taking time for herself.

The sound of a familiar meow brought the girl’s blue hues onto the calico cat. Snow hadn’t left the girl’s side since she had gotten back, everywhere Serah went Snow seemed to follow. She didn’t mind the company of the feline, after all she could always spill her heart out to the cat. Serah reached down and picked up Snow slowly, running her finger’s through her fur. Snow was always some sort of comfort to the girl. Even if she wasn’t able to say anything, Snow knew just what to do to bring a smile back to the pink haired girl’s face. Snow tried to pull herself away from the girl, squeezing out of her arms. The cat gave a quick glance back at the girl before darting off.

“H-Hey Snow!” Serah called out to the feline, and then took off racing after it.

Where ever she was going Serah needed to stay right behind her, but this was easier said then done. The cat had an easier time ducking and dodging through the obstacles of the land. Serah clumsily climbed and ducked to follow right behind her. Then everything seemed to stop, the cat had led her well off into the ruins, and there was an all too familiar figure standing there now.

Dear Anonymous,

Snow’s surprisingly clumsy, so it’s a good he’s so strong or he could get seriously hurt one day. He’s walked into a wall or street sign more than once…

One time he even walked into a parked velocycle and knocked it over! Maqui wasn’t too happy about that…

Sincerely,
Serah Farron

“Port..Royal?”

The words sounded strange rolling off her own tongue, it was an odd name. She raised an eyebrow at what the male meant by her outfit. “..What’s wrong with it?” She asked softly, before giving him a stern look. “You look like you’re gonna attract attention in that big black..robe thing!” She said trying to keep a serious face. Serah couldn’t be mean, it just wasn’t in her nature. In the end the pink haired girl ended up cracking a smile at the blonde, before looking down at her dress. It kinda did..make her stand out a little. She grinned sheepishly back up at him. “So..how is it they dress here?” She asked softly.

“Hey, it’s not like I picked this to wear,” he started before shaking his head and getting back on topic at her question. “Well, uh… most of the women wear long skirts, like they reach the ground,” he said, raising a hand to the back of his head and rubbing at it while looking down. “I mean, they cover all their skin, it’s weird.”
